This object is known as Jwngar, a kind of impaling tool for fishing. Seven to nine numbers of iron spears having hooks are attached with a small bamboo handle. This is used for impaling on large fish in rainy season.

This is a fishing implement especially used for catching Eels (Kusia). A pointed barbless iron rod is attached in a bamboo halt.

It is a kind of net used for hunting or capturing small animals, especially rabbit. Earlier these were made of jute threads, however, at present; most of the nets are made of plastic ropes. This net is normally used to lay a trap in the potential area where signs of animal tracks can be observed. A group of hunters is usually responsible for chasing and luring the animal towards the trap. These kinds of animal traps are used not only to hunt for flesh, but for capturing animals which destroy crops and vegetables.

This is a trap specially used for catching birds like dove. A net is fixed between two bamboo poles and the birds are chased against this trap and eventually the birds get trapped in the net.

It is a trap made of a small piece of net fixed with a circular ring at the top of a long bamboo handle. This trap is mainly used at night to catch small birds. The hunters used to move around the open fields at night with torch lights and when they see any small bird, these nets having a long handle is used for grabbing the catch.

Dingori is a barrel shaped fishing trap, kept immersed in water. It has an opening where bamboo splits are interwoven with the help of cane. The fish can only enter through this entrance which acts as a valve. The other side has a small door through which fishes are brought out. Snails are cut into pieces and kept inside the Dingori as bait to lure the fish into it.

Langi Je is a kind of fishing net kept in the water mostly in the evening and checked for fish in the next morning. It is a rectangular shaped fishing net. Two ropes are connected at the upper and lower portions of the net. The rope in the upper part is attached by floats at a fixed interval and the lower rope is attached with sinkers at fixed intervals. These nets are set in the beels (lakes) vertically in line. Sometimes these nets are also dragged from one place to another. The fisher folk used to disturb the fishes by beating tin drums or hitting the water with bamboo poles. As a result, fishes move in frustration and get entangled into the net.

Barona is a kind of bamboo made equipment for fishing used as kind of fence. It is generally used after the flood season. When the water level saturates in the river and the water from the beels flows towards the deeper areas, then the fishermen enclose the water channels at certain low-lying places with these fences. It is done to prevent the in-coming fishes from escaping back into the rivers.

This is a fishing implement especially used for catching frogs from the muddy water. One end of the bamboo tube has a pointed end and several threads are tied at the other end to mid-section of the bamboo tube.

The bow and arrow is an age-old hunting implement. The bow is the elastic launching device and the arrows are long projectiles having a pointed tip. These are mostly made of split bamboos and used by the most of the ethnic communities for chasing and hunting animals like birds, rabbits, deer, porcupine, boars etc. A flexible and sturdy bamboo is selected which can be bend up to an arc. A string prepared of the upper skin of young bamboo plant with two notches on both sides is tied to the two limbs of the bow with small chords. The chords are made of jute. The bamboo slits used for making the arrow are straightened by wrapping them in taro (Colocasia esculenta) or sal (Shorea robusta) leaves and heating them slowly over fire. On one end of the shaft, an iron tip is notched whereas on the other end, a pile of uniformly trimmed feathers (mostly of eagle/vulture/pigeon) is tied or stuck into small gouges made on the surface of the bamboo. In earlier days it was used as a weapon for defense against intruders and even dangerous animals, now its usage is limited to simple hunting activities.
